Katas Raj Temples are the collection of Hindu Temples located in the Potohar plateau. This place owes its name to a pond - Katas - situated in the cen ter of Temples.  The pond is believed to be made of tears of Lord Shiva - a Hindu God. These temples trace their origin back to prehistoric ages and were recorded in the travel diaries of ancient Chinese travelers.
